Experiments with Gases

Intro: The purpose of the following web pages is to provide you with an opportunity to investigate
the behavior of ideal gases.  You are free to alter the following variables:

• n, the number of moles of gas present

• P, the pressure of the gas

• V, the volume occupied by the gas

• T, the temperature of the gas

You may only specify three of the four variables - the remaining variable's value will be measured. In order to systematically investigate ideal gases, you may want to:

• Hold two variables constant
• Vary a third
• Measure the fourth
