Goals/Course Description:

In art, the more one perceives, the more one feels. INART 1 is intended to serve as an introduction to the art forms of painting, sculpture, architecture, music, and film — and to the common elements they share. In this course, an emphasis will be placed on developing skills which increase aesthetic perception. Out-of-class activities — such as concerts, art exhibitions, and film screenings — will be used to apply classwork to real-life aesthetic experiences.
